1. Low power mode

With the feature turned on, you can squeeze in 36 hours of usage if your iPhone is nearby.To turn on Low Power Mode, swipe up to see Control Center.Select the battery percentage and switch to low power mode.
It's important to note that some Apple Watch features like Always-On Display and background heart rate monitoring will be disabled.
Starting in late 2022, Low Power Mode will appear on the Apple Watch Ultra, offering up to 60 hours of usage.That's nearly double the 36 hours of rated usage in normal mode.
2. The new look of the compass app
To accompany the Apple Watch Ultra, Apple also released a redesigned Compass app in watchOS 9.When launching the app, you'll quickly notice that the hybrid view shows both an analog compass dial and digital information.Turn the Digital Crown to see more data, including altitude, longitude, altitude and slope.
On the same screen are the new compass waypoints and backtracking.Waypoints allow you to mark a location or point of interest in the app for later access in the app.For example, you can mark where your car is in a parking lot.Selecting a waypoint will show its direction and how far it is.

5. New quick action
Additionally, Apple has added a new hassle-free quick action for Apple Watch users on watchOS 9.A simple double-tap gesture can answer or end calls, dismiss notifications, take pictures, play/pause media, and start, pause or resume workouts.
6. More languages on the Apple Watch keyboard
Apple added a built-in keyboard starting with the Apple Watch Series 7.Instead of Scribble or Dictation, you can type messages and more. The QuickType prediction engine suggests possible words and phrases for your input.
In watchOS 9, the keyboard adds support for additional languages -- French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, and Spanish.
7. Set up more Apple Watch features for families
Family Setup allows children or other family members to use a cellular-enabled Apple Watch without the need for an iPhone.
With watchOS 9, kids can now access the Podcast app.Starting in late 2022, kids can also be invited into the Home app to control HomeKit accessories and HomePod speakers.They can also access keys stored in Wallet.
