How to add or edit tags for photos in OneDrive
Every time you store a photo, Microsoft OneDrive scans the image, looking for the object.It tags these images and also allows you to add or edit tags.
To see this in action, launch the OneDrive website and search for a name, place or date.You can search for tags, or go to the Tags tab to see all the tags used for your photos:
Sometimes, you will notice incorrect labels.You may want to edit these tags or add new tags to your photos.For adding or editing tags, open any photo in OneDrive.Select the ellipsis at the top and click the Edit tab.
Type a new tag for the photo and press Enter, or select an existing tag from the list below.If you want to delete a tag, just click the X next to the tag.
How to Enable or Disable Tags for Photos in OneDrive
Tabs on OneDrive are enabled by default.If you've never disabled tabs yourself, you can start using them right away.However, if you want to turn off the tabs feature, you can do so from the OneDrive settings.
First, when using OneDrive (web), tap the gear at the top right of the home screen.Then, select an option.Click Photos from the left sidebar.Then, turn off the button next to "Use tags to find and organize photos."
Note that when you disable tabs, existing tabs will remain as they are and will not be deleted.You will need to delete these tags manually.
Using Photo Tags on OneDrive
OneDrive's tags allow you to easily search and organize your photos by keywords.Even if you don't want to use the feature, you can easily disable it.
If you feel that OneDrive's photo management capabilities are insufficient, you may also consider disabling it entirely and switching to other services like Google Photos.
