What you need to know before you start
Importing music might be an Apple Music feature you didn't know about. Before you can add your music to your Apple Music library, however, you need a few things. If you have a Windows PC, you need to download iTunes from Apple's official website and install it.If you're a Mac user, Apple Music comes preinstalled on your Mac.If not, you can download it from the App Store.
You should have music files in MP3 and M4A format. You can convert FLAC files to MP3 if needed.
Once all of these are ready, you can start importing your music to Apple Music. The process is mostly similar on Mac and Windows, with only a few options different.

2. Select File from the menu bar.
3. Click Import from the drop-down menu.
4. Find the music file on your computer and select "Open".
Alternatively, you can drag and drop music files into the Apple Music app's window to import them.
When done, it will import the selected music files into your Apple Music library. You can find your songs in the "Recently Added" or "Artists" section.
How to Import Your Songs to iTunes on Windows
Since Apple Music is not available on Windows, iTunes is your only option for importing music.Follow these instructions to complete:
1. Open iTunes on your computer.
2. Select File from the menu bar in the upper left corner of the window.
3. From the drop-down menu, click Add File to Library or Add Folder to Library, depending on what you want to import.
4. Find the music file or folder, and tap Choose File or Choose Folder.
After that, iTunes will import these files into your iTunes library. You can access them by going into the library, selecting the Recently Added or Artists tabs, similar to Apple Music on the Mac.
Note that you can only upload MP3 and M4A files on Mac and Windows, not FLAC or WMV formats. Also, it's worth mentioning that no one has access to your uploaded music, only you can access them individually.
Again, Apple Music doesn't upload it to the cloud, but instead creates a copy of the music file in the Home > Music > Media > Music folder, leaving the original in its current location.
You can choose to delete the original file, but make sure you don't delete or move the location of the copied file, or you won't be able to play your song.
Listen to your favorite songs on Apple Music
Apple Music lets you hear a lot of songs, but you might miss some old classics. However, they can be added to your Apple Music library using this method.
There's no way to sync them on your iCloud device, so you can't expect them to be available on your other devices.
