Your Kindle is a device full of useful features. One of them is the ability to add one or more bookmarks to a book, allowing you to easily find and navigate between sections of the book.
Adding bookmarks to your Kindle is a simple and intuitive process.Next, let's take a look at how to use bookmarks on your Kindle to improve your reading experience.
How to Add Bookmarks on Kindle
Although your Kindle will automatically remember where you last stopped reading, adding bookmarks allows you to jump between specific parts of the book while maintaining your location, as well as marking important pages in the book.
To add a bookmark, tap the top right of the screen to bring up the bookmarks menu. Then, tap the "+" icon to bookmark your current page.
A black bookmark icon should now appear at the top right of your page, indicating that you've bookmarked it.
How to Navigate to a Bookmark on Kindle
If you want to read another part of the book (for example, the previous chapter), you can do so now and quickly and easily jump back to where you were.
To jump to your bookmarks page from anywhere in the book, just click the bookmarks menu at the top right of the screen and select your bookmarks.
A miniature bookmarked page will be overlaid on your current page.Click on the mini page to return to your bookmarks page.
After this, a banner will appear at the bottom of your Kindle screen with options to stay on your bookmarked page or return to your previous page if you make a mistake.Select "Return to Page" or "Stay Here" to remove this banner.
How to Delete Bookmarks on Kindle
If you run out of your bookmarks, or you accidentally bookmark a page, it shouldn't take more than a second or two to delete a bookmark on your Kindle.
To delete your bookmarks, bring up the bookmarks menu and select your bookmarks. Then, click the x icon next to it, which should remove the bookmark from your bookmarks menu.
If you return to a bookmarked page, the black bookmark icon should now disappear from the top right of the screen.
You can utilize multiple bookmarks in the same eBook
Using your Kindle's bookmarking feature, you can bookmark several sections of a book of your choice, making it easy to jump to specific points rather than just general points like the beginning of a chapter.
If you want to add multiple bookmarks to your book, just follow the above process for each page in the book you want to easily jump to.
You should see every bookmark you've added in your bookmarks menu, allowing you to seamlessly navigate between them, as well as delete them.
So feel free to pick a Kindle book or upload a free ebook to your Kindle and bookmark as many as you like.
You can collect multiple Kindle books
The great thing about the Kindle's bookmarking feature is that you can bookmark more than one book, not just the one you're currently reading.
This means you can bookmark as many pages as you want in various books without worrying that all your previous bookmarks will suddenly disappear.
However, this does mean that if you want to clear all bookmarks in a book, you have to select the book and delete each bookmark individually.
But since it's so quick and easy to delete bookmarks, it shouldn't take long, even if you accumulate a lot of virtual corner pages as you read.
Browse your eBooks easily
Using your Kindle as bookmarks adds another layer of intuition to an already stripped-down device, giving you quick access to the parts of books that mean a lot to you.
